Cadell's 1879 review "The True Omar Khayyam" from Frazier's Magazine is included in Appendix I, "Critical Responses to the Rubáiyát in FitzGerald's Lifetime", of the Oxford World's Classics edition. Her review was the first to discuss the multi-author nature of the more than 1,000 quatrain source materials accumulated over the centuries under the name Khayyam and documented FitzGerald's manipulation of those materials.
(That is, FitzGerald's work is a fine piece of 19th Century English poetry; it is not the work of a 12th Century Persian poet.)
